Hypnosis helps even if everything else fails.
In a bustling city where technology and magic coexist, Halloween is a delightfully spooky celebration of joy and laughter for most. But for Pumpkinoid, the luminous pumpkin manifestation of Hypnojis, it’s an annual occasion of terror. As October 31st approaches each year, Pumpkinoid feels an inexplicable fear welling up within him.
For many years, this unexplained fear has haunted Pumpkinoid. It’s as if he’s simply afraid of everything and everyone. Even when there seems to be no reason, what remains is the fear of fear itself. And Halloween? It’s the worst day of the year for Pumpkinoid. Zombies, vampires, Freddy Krueger, Jigsaw, and other frightening figures send chills up and down his pumpkin spine. Pumpkinoid trembles at the very thought, shuts himself away in his home, and hopes Halloween will pass quickly.
But fate had a surprise in store for Pumpkinoid. In this modern city, there was a private practice for hypnosis known as a place of transformation and change. Many had heard of the wonders that happened there, so Pumpkinoid decided to confront his fears. His inner journey began. In the depths of his subconscious, he found himself in a labyrinthine garden where the shapes of his fears lurked. Instead of running away, he decided to confront them head-on. The amazing thing was that he was no longer afraid.
During this hypnotic experience, Pumpkinoid found out about the true nature of his fears. He was so impressed by this discovery that he decided to take it one step further. In hypnosis, he was given a set of hypnotic triggers: Every time he encountered a terrifying apparition in the future, he wouldn’t feel fear anymore, burst into loud laughter instead – but only on All Hallows’ Eve.
The next Halloween was different. Instead of hiding, Pumpkinoid strolled up and down the streets with a smile on his face. Every horrifying sight that would have left him paralyzed with fear a year before now made him burst into laughter. The people around him were delighted by his transformation, and his laughter was contagious. Halloween became his favorite day of the year, and he looked forward to it weeks in advance. Pumpkinoid no longer knew fear, with one sole exception: the fear that he might one day die of laughter on Halloween.
Pumpkinoid’s story became a symbol of the power of transformation and the ability of the subconscious to turn our fears into glee. And so, with every smile and every feeling of pleasure, Pumpkinoid’s joy shone through brighter than ever before.
